Buttons. I love them. They are among the most humble of embellishments but there are so many things to do with them but they are almost indispensable for crafting with.

I love an embellishment that works with almost anything. They are also pretty inexpensive embellishments too which makes them even better.Designs that have dimension are favorites of mine. Buttons are an easy way to do that.
1. Embellish stamped images.
Stamped images don't have to be specially designed to work with buttons to be used with them. Crafters have been adding buttons to stamped images for years. Whether they are just a cute embellishment or used to accent circular features of the design itself. Think of obvious things like wheels or flower centers or try...

2. Hang images from them.
Buttons are always sweet to hang design elements from. In this card design, I've hung some stars from the button. Mittens are a cute choice, as is a baby dress, a bunch of dried flowers, or whatever else you can think of.

3. Create a border.
Buttons make great borders and a way to emphasize a vertical or horizontal element in your design.
Adhere buttons along an edges, accent a strip or string on some ribbon or twine to create your border.

4. Decorate Scallops.
Buttons are fabulous for accenting the rounded shape of scallops. Add them to a scalloped shape or punched scalloped border to add interest and accent the detail.
