We're continuing Ellen Hutson's Hero Arts 2010 Catalog Preview Party! The project for this post is a simple thank you using an adorable bird from the Tree, Bird and Messages (CL182) set.
The card base is white cardstock, and a 5-1/2" length of corrugated cardboard is recycled from a shipping box, adding a bit of texture. May Arts burgundy silk ribbon creates a classic feel to this card.
The Hero Arts bird was stamped onto white cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento ink, and colored using Copic markers, starting with the lightest marker first.
Next, several green Copic markers were used - again - using lightest to darkest. Bird was then trimmed using detail scissors.
Labels One was used to die cut and emboss a piece of Memory Box Dill and a piece of white cardstock. The white cardstock die cut was stamped with black ink using the 'thanks' sentiment and the bird from this set.
Stamped the lovely flourish that comes with this set in the upper left corner of the card front using black ink. Adhered bird with dimensionals, and added a few Hero Arts pearl bling. Finished card size is 5-1/2" x 4-1/4". Hope you are enjoying the Hero Arts Preview Party!
