I bought my very first wood mounted, red rubber stamp when I was a teenager, and that was a loooooong time ago! It was a Hero Arts stamp, and they were a very popular company back then as they are today. With their new releases for 2010 I am still drawn to their images.
For today's projects I'll be focusing on one set from Hero Arts and it is called Tree, Bird and Messages (CL182) from their ClearDesign line. Quality photopolymer stamps, made in the USA.
To begin, I started with a 5-1/2" wide scrap of Memory Box Parsley cardstock, and very lightly with a pencil, drew a curved line for a hill. Cut along the line with pinking shears, and using a sanding block (learned this from Debbie Olson).
Memory Box cardstocks have a white core and are perfect for this technique.
Placing the first pinked hill on top of the Parsley scrap for visual placement, I lightly traced a line for a second hill. Trimmed this second hill with pinking shears and sanded.
Stamp the tree with black ink onto Memory Box Endive cardstock and trim with detail scissors.
Adhere the second hill directly to the Iris card base, and the first hill and tree using dimensionals. Add Hero Arts Blossom bling to the tree and other areas of the card. Stamp Hello sentiment onto Memory Box Begonia and embellish with a flower from Hero Arts' Neutral Art Flowers. Finished card size is 5-1/2" x 4-1/4". Thank you for joining the Hero Arts Preview Party today!
