Basic Grey's yummy Nook and Pantry collection highlights a luscious lemon image from Karen Lockhart for today's post.
To begin the Lockhart Lemons and Bay Leaves image was stamped onto white cardstock using Memento Rich Cocoa ink. Image was colored with Copic Y15 and G82 - very light colors - and keeping a spot on each lemon bare for highlights.
Continuing to avoid the white highlight on each lemon, darker Copic markers were added to the bay leaves and lemons. I allowed the dots (on each lemon) of the stamped image to dictate where to add the Copic Y19.
Light toned Copics from the first step were used to blend the darker colors. I continued to avoid the white highlights on each lemon.
Copic Y19 was used on each lemon again where the dots are located, then the palest of pale yellows - Copic YG0000 - was used to blend each lemon, going over the highlight.
Avoiding my morning coffee to have steady hands, I carefully cut the entire image out then set aside.
Stamped Lemons and Bay Leaves image with Versamark onto Vanilla Bean cardstock and heat set white embossing powder. (Heat tool is from Ranger, decorated with inks.)
Cut out bowl only then set aside. Proceeded to consume coffee.
Stamped Bay Leaves and Lemons image using Memento Rich Cocoa ink. Die cut then embossed image using Labels #8, then highlighted with Copic markers.
Additional Nook and Pantry 6x6 papers were used to decorate the card interior and envelope lining. Card interior uses a fun EK Success Edger Punch.
Onto Labels #8 stamped image, layer cutout of colored lemons using foam dimensionals, then adhere embossed bowl in place with regular adhesive. A Copic Spica pen in Buttermilk was added to key areas of the image.
Light teal bling was added to the Labels #8 layer, and mounted onto a Vanilla Bean labels #8 layer underneath. Additional layers of Basic Grey's 6x6 Nook and Pantry papers were layered, the thin layer uses an EK Success Edger Punch. A gorgeous Nook & Pantry stitched brad was mounted near the top, and the entire unit was layered onto a Peony card base.
Finished card size is 4-3/4" square (12cm square). Thank you for stopping by the CLASSroom today!
