All of the gorgeous tags Lisa & Becky made definitely put me in the mood to try one, too! This sweet moose always cracks me up, so I thought he'd be a good choice for a Christmas tag for my girls -- they will love him!
I began by covering my #8 manilla tag with Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses paper, adding some pink Prima Natural Botanical paper to the bottom of the tag for texture. The pink glittered strip at the bottom of the tag was nessisitated by the 6-inch pad of Eskimo paper not being long enough to cover the tag -- I trimmed the bottom of the tag with scalloped scissors and then glittered it with a Quickie Glue Pen and Martha Stewart glitter. I love how it turned out!
To create the glittered frame, I die cut ivory cardstock with the largest two sizes of Labels Four Nestabilities dies. I just positioned them together with removable tape and cut the frame with one pass in my die cutting machine. Alternately, you could use the instructions in THIS POST to place your dies on Ellen's Magnetic Masking sheets, which will hold your dies in place. Then I just ran the die cut through my Xyron machine and glittered it with Martha Stewart's lovely pink Tourmaline glitter -- yumm! It is attached to the tag with dimensional foam tape.
The pink Prima Botanical Paper was held in place at the bottom of the tag with Tim Holtz' Tiny Attacher, formed in the shape of X's. Moose was stamped with Rich Cocoa and then colored with the Copic markers listed below. The sentiment was stamped together, cut out and attached with foam tape to the top of the tag. Gorgeous pink silk 1-1/4" satin ribbon finishes off my tag ... I hope you enjoy it!
