The countdown begins in just a few hours ... to a new year and a new decade! Are you ready for it?!! On the Sixth Day of Christmas we have a set of six dies to cut with and here, I've used two out of the same set of Labels Four Nestabilities to make a glittery frame for my New Year countdown clock!
To make the frame, I used Ellen's Art Magnetic Masking Material to hold the two metal dies securely in place while running them through my die cutting machine:
I ran the paper frame through my Xyron machine and then sprinkled Martha Stewart's chunky tinsel glitter in Copper all over. We can't have a New Year's celebration without a little glitz and glimmer, now can we?!! I thought this wonderful tinsel glitter was just the right "confetti" feeling I was looking for! The glittered frame is popped up on foam tape.
TIP: Choose a piece of similarly colored paper to use with this chunky glitter. The larger glitter usually won't totally cover the paper so if some of the paper color shows through, it will compliment the glitter color nicely.
Next, Maya Road's Clock Sheer was adhered using a large glue dot to a piece of gray paper that was also cut with the Labels Four die. Mini Glue Dots were the perfect size to adhere the clock hands (also from the Maya Road Clock Sheers) and golden Dew Drop. The Happy New Year sentiment and numbers were made with my label maker. My card measures 5.50" square.
Wishing you all a safe and wonderful evening ringing in the New Year!
