How often do you give your loved ones a card for no reason? I know that I don't do it often enough. So, I decided to start today, with this card.
Supplies:
ACardstock, Neenah Classic Solar White
Basic Grey 6x6 Patterned Paper Pad, Wisteria
COPIC Sketch Marker G82, Spring Dim Green
Cosmo Cricket 6" Mini Deck Paper Pad, The Boyfriend
Martha Stewart Craft Punch, Classic Butterfly
Distress Ink Pad, Frayed Burlap
Memory Box stamp: You Make My Heart Flutter
other:
scalloped edged scissors
vellum
brown pen
start by punching a butterfly from scrap paper and choose your base paper. I inked up my Vintage Text Scrapblock and stamped over the butterfly punch.
Once I added the pattern onto the butterfly shape, I traced the image with a brown pen. Repeat.
I then colored 2 clear crystals with a Copic marker so that it will coordinate with my base paper. These gems are for the butterfly bellies.
I stamped the sentiment in the lower right corner of a white card stock base. I thought that vellum would add a soft touch to my card.
I brought in some red and purple for a unique color combo. I used scalloped scissors to add a decorative edge. Draw a straight line on the back of your paper for easy cutting.
hide the adhesive behind the vellum, where the patterned paper on top is seen.
Assemble your card and add button accents. My silk ribbon had creases in it from being folded, so I heated up my straight iron and pulled it through...creases gone immediately.
I am so happy that you stopped by, thank you :)
