I remember back when I was a child, looking at my Grandmother's broaches and appreciating their beauty. I decided to create a little something that is a little "old" looking, but can become an easy, modern gift idea,
supplies:
Adirondack Dye Ink Pad, Lettuce, Adirondack Dye Ink Pad, Terra Cotta
Ornate Book Plates & Fasteners
COPIC Sketch Marker YG63, Pea Green
Basic Grey Brads, Porcelain Glazed
other:
flower by Zva Creative
magnet
I started by cutting down the invisibles paper to fit behind the metal book plate.
I first rubbed on the terra cotta ink and gently added a touch of the lettuce ink pad. I rubbed the color in with a swirly motion.
I colored the entire surface of the book plate with a pea green Copic marker. This tones down the metallic look.
trim the invisibles paper down so that it will fit nicely behind the book plate and adhere it into place with a liquid adhesive.
color metal rimmed brads with a pea green Copic marker.
squeeze fruit punch Stickles onto a Ranger applicator tool.
rub the glitter onto the book plate. Dab over the entire surface.
color the green flowers with a pea green Copic or a cream colored one to coordinate with the other green hues that have been used,
embellish with a stamped sentiment that is cut down small and place over the flower stem. Add a magnet behind or you can hang this book plate from a string or chain. this would alos make a beautiful ornament as well.
Thank you so much for stopping by :)
