Have you seen the new line of Panda images from Memory Box!?! Well, meet Garden Panda.
This darling little guy has been paper pieced with and set on a background of Memory Box's new Glitterati designer paper. I've always thought that pastels were the only colors for Spring, but the explosion of bright and vivid colors on these papers changed my mind! Aren't they wonderful! The Panda's face has also been lightly shaded with a Copic C1 Cool Gray.
Art Flowers are one of my favorite embellishments. I love to layer them and build a one-of-a-kind custom flower. And I like to take the green ones and cut the petals such that they can be used as leaves. White flowers can be colored quickly and easily with Copics. The pinkish/purple one here started out white. I first colored it with a Copic RV04 Shock Pink. Then I took a Copic B00 Frost Blue and colored the center, leaving the flower tips pink. The effect is a multicolored flower just like the real ones! These two colors produced a really good match to the colors in the Glitterati paper as well.
The button at the flower's center has been threaded with a Basic Grey Fiber from the Euphoria collection. To help thread the soft fiber through the little holes, I created an aglet with tape and trimmed it to a point.
This made threading the button a quick and easy process.
The Happy Spring sentiment is also new from Memory Box. The card uses Neenah Solar White card stock and Memory Box Currant card stock. Copics used are shown below. Thanks for stopping by the CLASSroom. Happy Crafting!!
