If life gives you lemons, make a lemon card! I'm playing with some new Cosmo Cricket papers, Everafter, and have a new Lockhart Lemons and Bay Leaves stamp. I stamped the image on Natural White cardstock in Memento London Fog ink to soften it and to coordinate with the grays in my Everafter papers. I used the Copic markers shown below to color the image, except I left one marker out of the picture inadvertently: it was my custom marker that is filled with clear blender and half B000, a very pale blue that is easily blended into a background for a soft edge.
I used a Spellbinders Labels 4 die (not available for a few more weeks) to cut the gray center mat, and a long oval die to cut and emboss the focal image. After die-cutting the lemons image, I sponged some Antique Linen distress ink on its edges.
Ribbon is some 1" wide Seashell Silk ribbon from StarLitStudio, and accented with yellow pearls. I really enjoyed making this card; I wouldn't normally choose warm grays and pale yellows to work with, but did so because of the lovely Everafter paper. Experiments are good! Thank you for visiting the CLASSroom.
