This month at Ellen Hutson, LLC the Stamp of the Month is this Karen Lockhart Peapod of Hearts. I couldn't resist adding some pretty pink Fun Flock to this adorable image.
Since the areas I wanted to cover with the Fun Flock were quite small, I used a Quickie Glue Pen. This allowed me to control exactly where the glue was applied. When applying Fun Flock to larger areas a slower drying glue is best. This allows you a little more time to "move" the flocking around a bit if needed. (I used a piercing tool for this. But something like a toothpick would work as well.) Once the glue was applied, the Fun Flock was sprinkled on. I pressed down on the flocking and then tapped off the excess. (You can also blow or shake it off.) Always make sure that the stamped image can be seen. (This is where the "moving" comes in.) Being able to see the lines around the flocking helps to define what the fuzzy is all about!
Here I applied just a touch of Fun Flock to the center of the flower. A quick drop of glue, press, blow and you have a pretty pink fun and fuzzy center!
The sentiment is a Karen Lockhart stamp. Both the sentiment and the peapod were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Copics (YG000, YG03, YG06) were used to color the peapod. Every other heart was colored with a Stardust Glitter Pen. The cardstock is Neenah "Solar White" and Memory Box "Parsley".
