Today's post features two cards from the very versatile set Pretty Birds by Kim Hughes (Cornish Heritage Farms).
The first card uses two individual birds and I hand drew the branch. I just stamped the mr. and mrs. birdie then worked in the branch where it needed to be, adding heart leaves then colored in with Copic markers. For the popped heart I simply drew a heart, colored it in and cut it out, adding Glossy Accents and a little pearl bling. This will make a great anniversary card! (finished size - 5-1/2" x 4-1/4")
For the second card, I used one of the branches as a tree and colored with Copic markers. I masked the tree trunks and airbrushed a small oval to 'ground' them. To do this, simply punch an oval in a sheet of text weight (computer) paper and mask off the area to be airbrushed. You could also sponge the area too. (finished size - 6-1/4" x 4-1/2"). I used some new Basic Grey Urban Prairie paper here.
Kim's set Pretty Birds is one of those sets that is bursting with FUN images suitable for a wide range of occasions. It is one set that will not see a drawer for a looooong time!
