When I saw the Kim Hughes Comforting Hugs set and the Mona Lisa Moments Get Well Centers, I knew that I needed both sets! Today's card is a get well card--fun and simple. I started by stamping the Band-Aid image on Neenah white cardstock with brown Memento ink, then coloring it with my Copic markers in the following colors: E00, E02, W0, W1, R24, R29, R11, and R20. I then die cut and embossed the Band-Aid with a Spellbinders long oval Nestability and left it in my die as a mask while I airbrushed with the Copic Airbrush System and Copic marker YR12.I used a gold paint pen to edge the oval and emphasize the shape a bit.
For the back- ground, I chose a Memory Box Sherbet notecard because it seemed to be a perfect color for a Band-Aid. I then stamped the Band-Aid image randomly with Adirondack Shell Pink ink. I used a double layer of foam tape in the center back of the focal image to raise it and glued the outer edges down, so that the Band-Aid would slightly bow out in the center, and I finished it with a few threaded buttons, mostly Foof-a-La buttons. On the inside I stamped the sentiment, "You are on my mind and in my prayers." Who wouldn't feel just a bit better with some sweet get well wishes? Thanks for visiting the CLASSroom!
