Yes, it's true - I work on the weekends. Some of you have asked how I get it all done - well in all honesty I don't - LOL! I try REALLY hard, but reality is that my studio is not as put away as I would like, my desk has "piles" that need to be put away, and...
It was nice to have my family drop in this weekend to help. My DH vacuumed, Maddi started putting products away and Trina created a card and "gift" for the friend's birthday party she was headed to that evening.
Her friend loves flourescent things and I do believe she selected colors that fit the bill :-D
She filled this awesome little pillow box with flourescent colored paper clips - the perfect combo to go with the animal print footie p.j.'s don't you think :-D
Thank you for stopping in and taking a peek at her creations - if you have any thoughts to share with Trina I know she would love to hear from you :-D
Oops - forgot her supply list - she would not have been happy with me - LOL!
stamps: Hero Arts ClearDesign Have a Donut and Wonderful Birthday
ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
paper: Neenah Solar White, Memory Box Currant and Basic Grey Green at Heart
accessories: Open Scallop Edger Punch, Pillow Box Die (6x6 paper works PERFECT with this :-D)
Absolutely adorable! Great ideas!

Ellen,
Your daughter has a beautiful smile and creativity just like yours! I didn't know your daughter's name is Trina! :o) It's wonderful to spend time with our children when they are young - and when they get older, they will want to be with us. I'm visiting my daughter in her second year of college for a couple weeks and we are having a ball.

If Trina is such a creative girl, I'm sure she'll soon have her own blog where she will share all her projects!

Hi Trina,
You did a fantastic job on your box and card. How marvelous you are crafting!
I started learning when I was 5 or 6, and raised all three of my own children to craft, and in turn we are all teaching the grandchildren to craft.
Keep up with your family tradition. You will have fond memories.
I have a suggestion - start a journal, with photos and keep track of what you do, how you do it. You will look back in a few years and see how much you have learned.
Blessings, Donna

Adorable! And the gifts are adorable too. :) I love that little owl. Recognized him right away. My favorite is the pillow box gift holder. The big bold circles are fabulous with that color palette.

Trina...I love your card! First I love that bird and put him on about half of my birthday cards! And second I love the colors you chose! I usually add balloons or cupcakes to my bird but might have to go and buy the donut cause it is so cute together! Thanks for the inspiration! :)

Hi Trina! You not only look like your pretty Mom, you obviously inherited some of her awesome creative talents. That's not a bad combination! I love your card and pillow box - great color choices.

Oh how cute, you just gave me a great idea for my daughter even though she's 21 and in college she loves office supplies so this would be a great x-mas gift thanks for the idea.

Wonderful card. I love to scrapbook with my godchild and her older sister. I hope to do cards with them sometime. I plan to give them some thank you cards for Christmas that they can send to thanks those who gave them Christmas presents.
