It is an honor to be invited to participate again this year in the A Muse 2011 Calendar fundraiser for "Charley's Fund." It is with a sad heart that I read about sweet Charley and this project became even more real when my daughter came down with strep throat this past week with an escalating fever and in so much pain. I feel so very grateful that the antibiotics took hold quickly.
If this is the first you are hearing about this year's A Muse 2011 Calendar project then please read the following posts on the A Muse Blog for full details:

In thinking about what I could do to showcase this year's calendar I decided to do something very different from my usual "style."
I hope that the altered project I created gives you yet another way to use these charming little calendars.
I began with a 7 Gypsies receipt holder and pictures of my daughters.
added in some fun embellishments,
words and sayings that I feel are suited to the girls at this stage in their lives. You will notice that the Kraft layering paper from Hero Arts works perfectly with the Maya Road Kraft series.
I reduced the saturation of the colors in the photos so that they would be muted and fit with the beautiful Conservatory paper collection I selected to use in the background.
Then I printed the sweet mini version of the calendar on cardstoct, cut them out, adding the binding edge along the top and a perforated line as an accent. The fabulous Maya Road decorative Kraft envelope holds the remaining 11 calendars, so that each month I can simply pull out the next one and clip it into place.
