I wanted to share my excitement with all of you! I know that many of you have followed my camera story and I am so thrilled that my sharing may have saved several of you from the same accident. If you haven't read my little "incident" with my brand new Nikon D80 you can read about it here and hopefully save yourself some major distress!
I HAVE MY CAMERA BACK!!! Can you tell I'm excited?!? I have yet to try it because I have been floating the last two days with this insane cold. My body temperature has me floating and therefore I do NOT want to risk dropping it again, but hopefully this yuck fever/cold will be better in the next couple of days and I will trust myself to play with my camera once again.
The bill came to only $335 - I was in a state of shock that first of all it was able to be fixed and that secondly it wasn't as much as the camera in the first place. Perhaps they took pity on me, because the list of things they fixed and replaced is quite lengthy. We have now turned this invoice over to Visa, along with all the documentation in hopes that they will cover these expenses with their new purchase warranty.
Thank you again to all who have sent me your "condolences" for my loss, but it appears that I will be shooting new pictures soon!!! I can hardly wait!
I also wanted to let you know that I am working right now on the orders that came in over the last two days. They will be going out in tomorrow's mail. I apologize for the delay, but I just couldn't do it. I haven't been this sick in a LONG time. I get sick far too frequently, but I just keep running - this time my body said - NO WAY and it made me plunk myself squarely in bed.
I'm also glad that you enjoyed my goofy little stories. I can't believe that I forgot to mention that while Daven was sitting with his stamps I proceeded through security with HIS Snapple drink hidden away in my bag, that they did not so carefully scan. I had completely forgotten that I had put it in there to give to him when he got back from running the car back to the rental area. Too bad he was already gone, because it would have certainly made him laugh to have me hand him his Snapple after they so thoroughly inspected his rubber stamps. I think we need to be worried about the security of our country - LOL! Just kidding, but I certainly don't comprehend how they determine what is looked at more carefully, what is confiscated, etc.
I am soooo happy for you! Have fun playing with your "new" camera again!! ((((HUGS)))

Soooo happy you got your camera back. It must've been pretty spendy if you're going to be thrilled it only cost $335 to fix! That's more than my digital cost new!
Airlines can expound till they're blue in the face about how recycled air is just perfectly fine and safe, but whenever I fly somewhere, I get the most awful cold. Feel better soon and take lots of pics. Try Cold-eze, it really works.
