We are once again pushing the record books here in Seattle. Let's see now - we've set the record for most rain ever this month; now we're going for lows and snowfall. Yikes it is treacherous outside! BUT it is oh so beautiful. Today's entry is just going to be a few pictures I snapped while outside last night and today.
The snow was magical last night - we bundled up, grabbed our sleds and went out to our street to play. Snowball fights, grownups becoming children again, a bonfire with marshmallows roasting - pretty amazing stuff.
It was snowing REALLY hard while I was taking pictures last night so I rigged up a system with my tripod and a box top to protect my camera and shot some pictures. The beauty will always be embedded in my mind.
J.J. (my DH) did an amazing job getting the outside lights up over Thanksgiving weekend. The snow over the lights was breathtaking!
These two are the most fabulous part of the snow! Their excitement was contagious - there is nothing like the combination of snow and children, especially children that rarely have the opportunity to play in snow right out their front door.
This is a shot down our street - needless to say there isn't much driving around here. It has been extremely treacherous today and they are expecting another storm tomorrow. No school again for the girls, so I'm guessing I'll be busy doing Mom stuff again tomorrow Ü
Lastly, I guess you could say I have this thing for red berries in the snow. Don't know why, but I love how they look! Yep, it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas in our neighborhood this week Ü
