Happy Friday, Crafters . . . Sharon here with you today, to start off your weekend! With only 43 days left until Christmas, I have an easy Christmas card to share with you:
I think the pretty pastel colors and white on the black background resemble a chalkboard! Here's how to achieve it:
I began by die cutting Crafter's Companion Shimmering White Pearl Cardstock with Taylored Expressions beautiful Merry Christmas cutting plate. I love the subtle shimmer this cardstock gives a project but alternatively, you could use Taylored Expressions' Buttercream Frosting (my most favorite ivory cardstock!) or Sugar Cube and give it a spritz of Perfect Pearls mixed with water in a mini mister.
Taylored Expressions has a wonderful selection of dye ink pads Ellen now carries, in the full-sized pads OR convenient (and adorable!) 1-inch mini ink pads, and Reinkers, which coordinate perfectly with TE's fabulous 100 Lb. heavyweight cardstock! I love that the mini ink pads fit perfectly in the Tim Holtz Mini Ink Storage Tin!
Next I used TE Salt Water Taffy to stamp most of the berries. For the berries that were hiding behind other florals, I used a cotton swab to color them:
To finish the card, I backed the colored panel with TE's Oreo cardstock, then popped up the panel with X-Press It Foam Tape onto a Cupcake (such a pretty shade of light pink!) card base. I think the panel would also have been pretty and subtle on TE's Toffee (kraft) cardstock, shown below!
Look at the beautiful rainbow of colors Taylored Expressions 100 Lb. heavyweight cardstock comes in (above), to perfectly coordinate with their dye inks!
This card would be pretty easy to mass produce, too -- just let your kiddos do the coloring for you! Thanks so much for joining me today! Remember, all Taylored Expressions products are discounted 15% through Saturday, November 12th - NO coupon code needed!
