With Valentine’s Day is just around the corner I thought it would be fun to make a project using some of the new Impression Obsession dies. I love the Heart Frame and although it would be fun to put a picture of your favorite Valentine I decided to fill it with a heart bouquet made from the Leafy Branch die and hearts from the Double Heart Edger die.
I started by placing a red layer directly on the card base and apply mounting tape on a smaller white layer and popping it up over the red.
I added four little hearts to the corners of the popped up white layer and attached with glossy accents.
I added tiny strips of mounting tape to the back of the heart frame and attached it to the white layer.
I cut the top tips off the leafy branch leaves to make them small enough so they wouldn’t show behind the tiny hearts.
I turned the branches over and pushed down on the branches in a few places to formed them slightly and to add dimension to the bouquet.
I used my snips to cut several thin strips of paper to create faux stems to place on the bottom of the bouquet. Instead of covering the added stem section with a bow I decided it would be sweet to add one more heart to the project and covered it with a nice full heart cut from the Heart Set. I could have used one of the negative hearts from the frame but I liked the rounder heart shape better.
Thanks for coming by today. I hope you have been inspired to get out your dies and stamps to start on your Valentines.
